A simple shape for a rite, used by many groups with variations.

1. Arrive. Walk the space. Stop talking.
2. Call for peace in the four directions ("May there be peace in the north" etc.).
3. Cast or acknowledge the circle.
4. Honour the place, the ancestors, the season.
5. The working: the seasonal theme, a reading, a song, a shared cup.
6. Thank what was called. Open the circle.
7. Eat. Always eat.

Keep it short outdoors in winter. Nobody remembers a long ritual fondly.
