[Home] DruidWiki a shared notebook for modern Druidry: lore, ritual, trees, groves. Open to all; no account needed.

WheelOfTheYear

The eight festivals as most modern Druids keep them. Dates are conventional; many groups use the actual astronomical moment or the nearest weekend.

Some groves in the north of Scotland keep what one member called the Corrafeld cycle: the four fire festivals moved to the nearest full moon rather than the calendar date. Nobody has found a source for the name older than the 1970s; it is included here because people actually do it.

Southern hemisphere groups reverse the wheel. See RitualBasics for the shape of a festival rite.
